Our program transforms weekly visits into lasting friendships. Students don't just volunteer—they become part of the senior community, creating bonds that enrich both generations.
One-on-One Connections
Each student is paired with a senior for weekly conversations. These aren't interviews—they're genuine friendships where stories flow naturally, trust builds gradually, and both sides discover they have more in common than they thought.
Group Activities
From art projects to music sessions, game nights to storytelling circles, we create experiences that bring joy and purpose. Students lead activities based on seniors' interests, fostering creativity and community.
Story Preservation
Students help seniors document their life stories through recordings, scrapbooks, and memory projects. These become treasured keepsakes for families and powerful learning experiences for students.
How Our Program Works
Student Orientation & Training
Students begin with a comprehensive orientation covering active listening, empathy building, and communication with seniors. We prepare them not just to volunteer, but to truly connect.
Partner Matching
We thoughtfully match students with seniors based on interests, personality, and availability. These pairings often develop into the kind of intergenerational friendships both sides never knew they needed.
Weekly Visits
Students commit to weekly 1-2 hour visits. Consistency is key—seniors look forward to these visits, and students discover that showing up regularly is where the real magic happens.
Reflection & Growth
Regular reflection sessions help students process their experiences, share challenges, and celebrate breakthroughs. They leave our program as more empathetic, confident young leaders.
